Center Director (Full-Time)

Since that time, we have tutored over 10,000 students and have worked with schools throughout metro Atlanta. Cornerstone Academic is committed to provided high-quality supplemental education to ensure students meet their academic goals!

This position is seeking a full-time Center Director to lead our programs at our centers.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Center Director is a full-time position (average of 40 hours/week) who is tasked with leading our Unlimited Tutoring Program, Summer Booster Courses, and SAT/ACT test preparation classes. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and personable and will have a passion for helping students succeed academically.

Paid training will be provided on Cornerstone Academic’s curriculum and company operations.

The Center Director will be provided training and be expected to perform the following duties.

  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as the Company’s ambassador.
  • Convey information about our programs and services to prospective parents and students.
  • Increase student enrollments and improve Center operations to meet targets and benchmarks.
  • Maintain logs and fill out forms related to student enrollment and progress.
  • Conduct student/parent conferences and guide clients on services and programs to improve college readiness.
  • Be the lead instructor for SAT/ACT prep classes and Summer Booster Courses held at the center.
  • Serve as the lead instructor for our Unlimited Tutoring Program.
  • Be comfortable in delivering our SAT/ACT/PSAT curriculum to students.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the learning center and its instructors.
  • Be present anytime that the Center is open for programs or events.
  • Create academic tutoring plans and manage instructors to maximize student progress and achievement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and business communities and help promote the Center in the community.
  • Manage, encourage, and nurture instructors and staff as a cohesive Center team.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Center Director will be provided training and be expected to have the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a math, science, or engineering field strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales or management preferred.
  • Enjoys teaching and has an ability to teach others well.
  • Is reliable, dependable, and honest.
  • Has amazing written and oral communications skills.
  • Has achieved or can achieve a high SAT/ACT score.
  • Places importance on building relationships with students and parents.
  • Is punctual and hard-working to ensure students’ success.
  • Experience in leadership or building teams a plus.
  • Understands college admissions process or local school systems preferred.
  • Customer service and instruction quality are the key to a successful Center.

Assistant Center Director (Full-Time)
DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Center Director is a full-time position (average of 40 hours/week) who is tasked with supporting the Center Director in the successful execution of our Unlimited Tutoring Program, Summer Booster Courses, Individual Tutoring, and SAT/ACT test preparation classes. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and personable and will have a passion for helping students succeed academically.

Paid training will be provided on Cornerstone Academic’s curriculum and company operations.

The Assistant Center Director will be provided training and be expected to perform the following duties to ensure a successfully operating Center that meets or exceeds student and parent expectations.

  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as the Company’s ambassador.
  • Convey information about our programs and services to prospective parents and students.
  • Support the Center Director to increase student enrollments and improve Center operations to meet targets and benchmarks.
  • Maintain logs and fill out forms related to student enrollment and progress.

  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

The Assistant Center Director will be provided training and be expected to have the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales or management preferred.
  • Enjoys teaching and has an ability to teach others well.
  • Is reliable, dependable, and honest.
  • Has amazing written and oral communications skills.
  • Has achieved or can achieve a high SAT/ACT score.
  • Places importance on building relationships with students and parents.
  • Is punctual and hard-working to ensure students’ success.
  • Ability to organize and manage competing responsibilities well.

Instructor (SAT/ACT)

This position is seeking part-time SAT or ACT instructors to deliver our effective test preparation curriculum.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Cornerstone Academic is looking for motivated and talented individuals who are interested in delivering an effective SAT/ACT/PSAT curriculum to students throughout metro Atlanta. Our programs take place at high schools, local libraries, or at our learning centers.

Exceptional applicants with a passion for teaching will help motivated and hard-working high school students in the following areas: SAT Math, SAT Reading, SAT Writing, ACT Math, ACT English, ACT Reading, and ACT Science.

Applicants will conduct instruction, proctor exams, handle attendance, attend instructor meetings, and other duties as assigned. Instructors will follow our comprehensive curriculum and will not be required to create their own materials. Paid training will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The prospective applicant will have the following skills.

  • Enjoys teaching and has an ability to teach others well.
  • Is reliable, dependable, and honest.
  • Has achieved (or can achieve) a high SAT/ACT score.
  • Understands the importance of the SAT/ACT exams in collegiate matriculation.
  • Places importance on building relationships with students.
  • Is punctual and hard-working to ensure students’ success.
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree (or is on track to receive one).
  • Can score a 1450/1600 on the SAT or a 32/36 on the ACT (either by providing past test scores or taking a practice test prior to being hired).
  • Has a flexible schedule and be available to teach weekday evenings and/or on weekends.
  • Instructors will work closely with Center Director to meet student academic goals.

Teacher qualifications are not required. Previous teaching is not required but applicant should possess a love of teaching.

TIMINGS AND COMPENSATION

Instructors work 6-18 hours per week. In-person classroom instruction typically takes place in the evenings (3:00 – 7:00 pm) and/or on weekends. Compensation is based on many variables:

  • Academic background and teaching experience
  • Student reviews and score improvements

Instructional compensation will be based on the above. Hired instructors will also be compensated for out-of-class preparation time, training time, and some travel.

Instructor (Math/Science)

Cornerstone Academic is looking for motivated and talented individuals who are interested in tutoring students throughout metro Atlanta in the areas of math and science. Our programs take place at high schools, local libraries, or at our learning centers.

Exceptional applicants with a passion for teaching will help motivated and hard-working high school students in the following areas: SAT Math, ACT Math, ACT Science, K-12 mathematics (including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus), and K-12 science (including Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

Applicants will conduct instruction, handle attendance, attend instructor meetings, and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The prospective applicant will have the following skillsets.

  • Enjoys teaching and has an ability to teach others well.
  • Is reliable, dependable, and honest.
  • Places importance on building relationships with students.
  • Is punctual and hard-working to ensure students’ success.
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree (or is on track to receive one) in a math, science, or engineering field.

  • AP-level knowledge and mastery in at least one subject is highly desired.
