Our COVID-19 Response

For the safety of students and staff, we are closely monitoring official federal, state, and local updates regarding COVID-19 and want to provide an update of the steps we’re taking to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, who are our top priorities. All our programs and services are following their normal schedules; any updates or changes will be communicated as soon as possible.

Please keep an open line of communication with us and reach out to us at 404-919-7227 or by email at achieve@cornerstoneacademic.com if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding during these unique and challenging times. If we can be of any help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update parents and students as needed. Please review the information below for policies and procedures implemented for specific programs.

As of August 3, 2020, our centers are open to in-person appointments and select services. Masks are required to enter into a Center.

Learning Center Maintenance

Every Cornerstone Academic learning center gets regularly cleaned each morning by a professional cleaning crew during the week. Since March 2, 2020, our cleaning crew has been directed to more thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces that are commonly used including tabletops, computer hardware, bathrooms, doorknobs, door handles, and other frequently used items. This disinfecting will happen daily.

Our team members and staff have also been directed to disinfect tabletops and computers multiple times during the day.

Additionally, they have been directed to:

  • Wash their hands or use hand sanitizer between parent meetings
  • Wash their hands or use hand sanitizer between tutoring sessions
  • Wash their hands as soon as they arrive and anytime they feel like they need to
  • Avoid touching their face with unwashed hands
  • Ask students to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer as soon as they come in or begin their session
  • Stay at home if they feel sick for any reason

For Individual Tutoring Students

Individual Tutoring students should call the office to cancel or reschedule in the event that they or a family member in their household are sick. We can work with you to ensure to get the tutoring you need through rescheduling or online instruction. Students can convert their scheduled one-on-one sessions into live online sessions. Please give us a call if you wish to convert your session to an online session. Students in Individual Tutoring will be asked to wash their hands with soap or use hand sanitizer before starting their sessions. Masks are required.

For SAT/ACT Course Students

If you are enrolled in our our SAT or ACT Prep Courses, please stay at home if you or a family member in your house are sick. If you miss a session, we will provide you with an online recording of your missed classroom session so you can stay on pace with course content. You will have the ability to ask your questions by emailing achieve@cornerstoneacademic.com.

Currently, each SAT and ACT course will be decided for In Person or Live Online on a case-by-case basis. We may move any course to Live Online if we feel that is the safer option; parents will be notified in advance.

In order to comply with health and safety guidelines set forth by federal, state, municipal, and health authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic, in-person class sizes are significantly reduced (less than half of normal capacity) to ensure the safety of all staff and students in the center. Therefore, students who wish to retake a course must do so in the Live Online format.
